Blake Lively Hair

Blake Lively or also known as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl,
which if you don't watch you are missing out,
is my hair icon.

In her recent interview for March's Elle edition Lively stated about the men in her life:
“I’ve had four boyfriends in my whole life. I’ve never been with anyone that’s not a boyfriend. If I spend time with a man, it’s because there’s somebody that I know well who has been a friend for a while.“
She also spoke about her relationship with Ryan Reynolds and their house hunting on Fifth Avenue:
“Newspapers say a lot of stuff, don’t they? Though I wish I could afford half the places that I hear I’m looking at. Sign me up!"

She has grabbed a lot of headline space by saying she's only ever had four boyfriends.

forget those headlines its ALL about that hair do... In my opinion she's the new 'Rachel' (Jennifer Aniston) hair style.

I have compared notes from many magazines/blogs on her hair to come up with the following top tips

    1. Healthy hair is important! - use hair masks *suggestion* Aussie 3 Minute Miracle and get your hair cut frequently, every 10 weeks is reasonable if you are trying to grow your hair
    2. Lively parts her hair just off the middle
    3. Use volumising products - Victoria's Secrets hair products are good for this or James Brown.
    4. Using a salt spray in your hair helps to create volume.
    5. Blow Dry - do it your upside down, then use different sized barrel brushes to add increased volume
    6. Rollers - these add to the Blake look and do not damage your hair but are time consuming, When using these roll away from your face.
    7. Curling Irons - only curl the length of hair from your ears to the ends, to look more relaxed and casual. Using your hair dryer on the cool settling blow over your hair to set curls, then run your fingers through for a more natural look.
    8. apply shine spray or shine serum to the ends.

After all of that you should have hair like this...

Okay so if you don't practice makes perfect, so I keep telling myself. Well a girl can dream to have hair like that.
